Starting in the mid 1950s matching suites of appliances in pastel colors were par for the course. Hotpoint offered Gleaming Stainless and Coppertone, as well as five new colors; Sunburst Yellow, Coral Pink, Meadow Green, Woodland Brown, and Seafoam Blue

General Electric had a similar array of colors but used Canary Yellow, Turquoise Green, Petal Pink, Cadet Blue, Woodtone Brown to describe them.
Frigidaire not to be outdone promised to make you "feel like a queen!" in their assortment of colors called Sunny Yellow, Mayfair Pink, Turquoise, Charcoal Gray, Aztec Copper, and Satin Chrome.
