Join us for our monthly public meeting and a few games of vintage bowling at the Milwaukie Elks Lodge.
The Milwaukie Elks Lodge is a midcentury marvel, a community treasure that boasts a gym, basketball court, racquetball, a commercial kitchen, several bars and an 8-lane manual-score bowling alley. Unfortunately, as membership in fraternal organizations in the U.S declines, the lodge is for sale and endangered. Your opportunities for enjoying this beautiful example of midcentury institutional architecture are dwindling! It’s slated to be razed in less than two years.
This event is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, and is a fundraiser for the league, so bring friends! There’s a full bar on premises, so if you don’t want to bowl, come for a classic cocktail in a vintage setting. The building is amazing and definitely worth a visit!
